This is an old favorite of mine. It’s an Indian vegetarian restaurant so you can probably guess that Keoni hasn’t been there! He’s a carnivore.
This is a very unigue idea for a restaurant. They don’t have menus. That’s because they serve 5 things everyday and everyone gets a round tray with 5 ramekins with the 5 dishes they’re serving. These are called thalis.
They always have a soup, such as mulligatawney (aka firewater!), some kind of beans,potatoes,a vegetable and raita (yogurt sauce). Also on the tray is basmati rice and warm naan bread. If you avoid carbs, this is not the place for you. I don’t really care! I just do 2 workouts that day. Everything has just the right amount of spice to it and I’ve never gotten anything I didn’t like.
The owner is always there and is so nice and friendly. This is definitely worth checking out if you like Indian food. It’s like homecooking!
