lime taqueria and tequila bar

Well, this summer has been a blur!  Keoni and I have both been so busy working and going out of town (separately).

We were both in town last Friday and decided to try Lime Taqueria and tequila Bar in Smyrna.

The atmosphere is nice.  Upscale and colorful (lots of lime green).  We sat outside and were greeted promptly.  The menu has tacos (a la carte) and tapas and entrees.  We were interested in the tapas because we like to share and try different things.

The quacomole is really good but doesn’t come with enough chips so we ordered chips and salsa.  You get a basket of chips with 4 different kinds of sauce that remind you of some kind of barbecue sauce.  They claim to be authentic Mexican and maybe they are but I wouldn’t get this again!

The tacos were tasty but small and the seared tuna appetizer was delicious.  They also have soups, salads and entrees. (we didn’t get any of these)

If your in the mood for a specialty drink, they have lots to choose from, including mojotos and of course, tequilas.  I had a good Malbec for a reasonable $7.

Keoni and I both agree we would go back if we were’t hungry!  Seriously, if we just wanted a couple of tacos and some drinks at a lively bar we’d go back.
